CHICAGO -- The rules for drinking at Navy Pier could be relaxed.

Mayor Emanuel wants to allow people to drink and carry beer, wine or alcohol both inside and outside Navy Pier - as long as it's purchased there.

The drink would be required to be contained in a Navy Pier restaurant disposable cup.

But there's still no alcohol allowed in the parking garages.

Violators would face fines of up to $500 or six months in jail.
