Pedialyte is usually given to sick children, but now adults are using it too.

The makers of Pedialyte are now marketing it for hangovers.

They recently sent a tweet to followers who celebrated too much on Cinco de Mayo.

The tweet had the hashtags, #dayaftercinco and #rehydrate.

Binge drinking can cause dehydration, so pedialyte can help replenish fluids.

The liquid also replenishes the electrolytes lost via vomiting and diarrhea.

It also contains more sodium and potassium than sports drinks.

It’s also fruit flavored, so it can taste better than water.

Adults already make up one third of Pedialyte users.

The makers now have a powdered version that goes in water bottles, instead of sippy cups.
