BREAKING NEWS UPDATE, 3 p.m. — Alexis Jones-Rhodes, the Clark Atlanta University student who has been missing since Monday, has been found safe in Illinois.

Police say foul play is not responsible for her disappearance, WSB reports.

ORIGINAL STORY, 11:14 a.m. —  Clark Atlanta University student Alexis Jones-Rhodes has been missing since Monday when she did not show up to her graduation ceremony, WSB News reports.

She was last seen Monday morning with her cap and gown on her way to graduation.

Her family began worrying when she didn’t cross the stage. They later found out she had never checked in at the ceremony.

Jones-Rhodes’ family has made a public plea for her return and posted flyers with her photo near campus.

“I have no idea where my daughter is,” said her mother, Nicole Johnson

DeKalb County police are investigating the disappearance.

WSB News reports family members say Alexis was driving a black Hyundai Sonata with Georgia tag BPC 6177.
