Semi fire shuts down southbound I-394

GLENWOOD, Ill. -- A semi-truck caught fire early this morning and shut down Illinois Route 394 in the south suburbs.

The fire began just before 2 a.m. on 394 near Glenwood Lansing Road in Glenwood.

The semi was hauling eight 55-gallon drums of deoxidizer and it caught fire.

Firefighters responded to the hazmat and shut down all lanes of traffic, until just after 5 a.m.

No one was injured.

The cause of the fire is now under investigation.
