HOUSTON HEIGHTS, Texas — If you’re planning to move to Houston, a well-written essay could get you this house.

The owner Michael Wachs is selling the bungalow through an essay contest with a $150 entrance fee. The essays only needs to be 200 words or less.

He figures he needs $3,000 entrants to get market value for the house.

“This is the only method that we can think of that we could get our money back and also give a chance to someone to start a new life or build a home right in the city,” Wachs told Houston TV station KTRK.

Hours after launching his website, he already had dozens of entries.

The contest runs until the middle of June.
