CHICAGO -- The mother of the boyfriend convicted in the murder of a Chicago socialite in Bali is speaking out.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Kia Walker says she is worried about the well-being of her granddaughter Stella. The baby can remain in jail with her mother, Heather Mack, until she turns 2 years old.

Mack was sentenced to 10 years in prison and her boyfriend Tommy Schaefer was sentenced to 18 years in prison for the murder of Sheila von Wiese-Mack.  Walker also said that she just wanted the truth to come out but could not comment further.

Walker made her first statements yesterday outside a courtroom where there's a battle over Heather Mack's trust fund.
