Verdict is in: WGN Morning News fails attempt at breaking Guinness World Record

Back in November we attempted to break the Guinness World Record for the most people performing lunges simultaneously.

Well, we have been waiting for our record to be verified and we finally heard back from Guinness.

And in true WGN fashion, we failed.

But in fairness, it was on a technicality.

On November 14, according to the Guinness World Records website, the current record was 267 people.

We broke that with 276 people.

However, on November 16th - 2 days after our attempt - a new record was verified.

A college in Australia had 802 people performing lunges simultaneously.

They did this back in July but their attempt was not verified by Guinness until November.
