Three men charged in robberies and officer involved shooting

CHICAGO - 21-year-old Terrence Hogan, 19-year-old Khalil Powell and 21-year-old Kamari Belmont were arrested and charged in connection with two armed robberies.

The Chicago Police Department says the first robbery occurred at 2:00 a.m. on Friday morning in the 3700 block of S. Vincennes. The second took place in the 100 block of E. 21st. St. about an hour later.

Police say that when they approached the men, Hogan revealed a handgun in his waist band area, then charged the officer hitting him with his body. The officer's weapon discharged and hit Hogan.

Hogan, Powell and Belmont will appear in bond court on Sunday.
