CHICAGO — Three men are being held without bail in connection with two armed robberies that led to a police involved shooting this weekend.

Terrence Hogan, Kamari Belmont and Khalil Powell face charges of armed robbery.

Police say the three men robbed two people early Friday morning in the South Loop and on the city’s South Side.

When police caught the men, they say Hogan revealed a handgun in his waistband, and then charged an officer with his body, causing that officer’s firearm to discharge and hit Hogan.

Hogan fled, but later admitted himself to Mercy Hospital where he was taken into custody.
