Cubs Game Notes For Tuesday vs. Pittsburgh

* The Chicago Cubs finished up the 2014 season strong against the NL Central, and they’ve continued that success into this year with a 8-4 record against division opponents.

* Pirates’ starter Jeff Locke had an outstanding first half of the 2013 season which led to an NL All-Star selection. Since then, however, he’s settled into a bottom-of-the-rotation role for the Bucs with a 4.46 ERA and 11-11 record.

*Pittsburgh starters have a 2.80 ERA this season, second in MLB only to St. Louis (2.48).

* Pirates’ pitching hasn’t been able to slow down the explosive trio of Anthony Rizzo, Kris Bryant and Starlin Castro so far this season. The trio have combined for a .448 batting average,  .522 on-base % and .586 slugging %.

*Andrew McCutchen loves playing at Wrigley with a career .367 batting average, .482 on-base % and .538 slugging %.
