CHICAGO-- A 12-year-old girl was injured when a pit bull attacked her.

It happened Sunday night in the 4900 block of North Troy in the city's Albany Park neighborhood.

The girl and her family were dog-sitting when the dog bit her on the arm.

The girl was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston with injuries to her arm.

She's in stable condition and the fire department says her injuries are not life threatening.

Police officers shot the dog when they arrived to the scene.

The owner was issued citations.

That breed needs to be eradicated. It is a bad breed and not wired correctly. It is in its bloodline to be strong and dangerous. I do not care if you say the dog is perfect and will not hurt a soul. All it will take is 1 thing to make that dog snap and its all over. I hope the little girl recovers perfectly and glad the dog is no longer breathing.

Yes, and young, white men are equally as unpredictable. Not a day goes by that one hasn’t shot up a school, a mall, or a movie theater. Clearly, wired wrong and unpredictable. Let’s eradicate white men between the ages of 14 and 25. That should solve these mass shootings.
