CHICAGO -- Cardinal George was a very visible leader in the Chicago archdiocese and often visited area parishes and schools.
As a result, man came out to pay their last respects to him on Thursday during his funeral and processional.
Holy Name parishioners and other church members took time out to remember his legacy as they attended today’s funeral Mass at Holy Name Cathedral.
Others stood outside during the lengthy processional which made a stop at his home parish St Pascal and then made its way to All Saints Cemetery.
