CHICAGO -- A woman is charged with filing a false report about being kidnapped and held for three days near a CTA station in Lawndale.

Veronica Fuentes, 39, told police she was attacked when she walked out of the station at 21st and Pulaski, and then dragged to an abandoned building.

She said four men kept watch over her until she escaped on Tuesday.

Police told the Tribune that Fuentes recanted that story

It’s unclear why she filed the false report.

Fuentes is charged with one felony count of disorderly conduct.

She is due in bond court this afternoon.
