Gas-line blast closes major highway, injures at least 15

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — Officials say 15 people were injured in a gas explosion in Central California, four of them critically.

Fresno County Medical Services director Dan Lynch says 15 people were evaluated at the scene of the explosion and 11 taken to hospitals.

Community Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Mary Lisa Russell says four patients are being treated at the hospital’s burn and trauma center. She says three patients are in critical condition and one is in serious condition.
