* The Cincinnati Reds have won 61 games against the Chicago Cubs since 2010, tied for the second-most wins by any team against a single opponent in that span. The Braves lead MLB with 63 wins over the Marlins in that span.

* There is a noticeable age gap between the position players on these teams. The average age of position player on teh active roster for the  Cubs is   28 Yrs 26 Days – 3rd Youngest in MLB, for the Reds 30 Yrs 115 Days – 4th Oldest in MLB.

* The Cubs’ pitching staff has struck out seven or more batters in each of their first six games – the second-longest such streak to start a season since 1914.

* Despite just a 2-5 career record against the Reds, Travis Wood has pitched well against Cincinnati with a 2.98 ERA.
