ROCHELLE, Ill – The devastation of last week’s is still visible but signs of recovery are everywhere. Closed roads are opening, trucks are buzzing and hauling away debris and roofs are covered in tarps with repairs eminent.
There are signs of progress four days after an EF-4 tornado tore through Rochelle.
The Red Cross remains in the area with food and clean up items ready for anyone that needs them.
Donations are no longer needed because they are at capacity and with time, the demand is subsiding.
The Salvation Army is also on hand to help. But the need for onsite aide is dwindling, which is proof so much of the work is getting done and done quickly.
The insurance companies and catastrophe teams, however, are sitting tight. Their job is just getting started.
