State Police investigate shooting on the Eisenhower Expressway

The Illinois State Police is investigating an early morning shooting on the Eisenhower Expressway.
It happened at about 2:30 a.m. on the inbound lanes of I-290 at Independence Boulevard.
An SUV was struck several times.
The driver managed to drive off the expressway to Van Buren and Kedzie.
Both rear windows of the SUV were shattered and several bullet holes were seen in the side of the vehicle.
State Police aren’t saying if anyone was injured or releasing other details of the incident.
