ROCHELLE, Ill. -- There was no rest this Sunday for those impacted by Thursday’s tornado in Rochelle, Illinois.

Those who lost everything along with hundreds of volunteers were back at it Sunday.

Many came together for a prayer service in nearby Kirkland Sunday evening.

The prayers, along with the all the help people received, certainly helped -- but normal is still a long way off.

More than a thousand volunteers signed up with Operation Blessing over the weekend; the non-profit is coordinating the volunteer response.

Most who showed up came to help perfect strangers in Rochelle rebuild their lives.

The county is also setting up what is essentially a one-stop shop for people to start the process of getting copies of vital records: birth certificates, drivers licenses, things like that.
