ROCHELLE, Ill. -- Tornado victims in Rochelle need volunteers again Sunday.
600 volunteers showed up Saturday, rolling up their sleeves and getting to work helping victims cleanup and recover their belongings.
They were shuttled into the hard hit Hickory Ridge and Cherry Hill subdivisions, where more than 40 homes are destroyed or damaged.
Most of the volunteers didn't know any of the storm victims.
Governor Bruce Rauner declared DeKalb and Ogle counties as state disaster areas.
Anyone who wants to volunteer Sunday should show up at Helms Park and Athletic Complex in Rochelle at 9 a.m.
Switchyard Bar and Grill in Rochelle is also hosting a donation drive Sunday, collecting household items for the victims.
