‘We Day’ Illinois debut to include Jennifer Hudson, Common, Selena Gomez
CHICAGO — Chicago’s very own Jennifer Hudson has been part of “We Day” celebrations in the past – and for the first time, this special event for youth is coming to the Chicago area.
It’s a concert and consciousness rising for kids to encourage service, and being the change in society that they’d like to see happen.
The star-studded line-up includes Jennifer Hudson, Common, Selena Gomez, The Band Perry, Magic Johnson, Martin Sheen and many more.
The youth empowerment event will bring together 15,000 students and teachers from over 500 schools through a full day of educational speeches, inspirational moments and electric performances.
‘We Day’ will be held at the Allstate Arena on April 30.
Tickets for the event cannot be bought though. They have to be earned by taking action on one local and one global cause.
