Some aldermanic races still too close to call
CHICAGO — Aldermanic candidates in five wards are still waiting for absentee votes to be counted, and a winner to be declared.
Out of 18 aldermanic runoff races, five are still too close to call. They are the 10th, 16th, 21st, 31st and 43rd wards.
In the 10th ward, Susan Sadlowski Garza claims she is now ahead of incumbent Alderman John Pope by 89 votes and she has declared victory.
Alderman Pope’s campaign says it will wait until all the votes are counted, and they are confident he will win.
