Man hit on Bishop Ford while running from police

CHICAGO - A man was hit by a car early Sunday while running away from police.

Around 1:00 a.m., Chicago Police officers spotted a stolen vehicle in the 10500 block of South State.

They driver led the police on a chase to the 10000 block of South Indiana where he crashed the vehicle.

The man got out of the car and started running onto the northbound lanes of the highway when he was struck by a car.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition.

Charges are pending.

The driver of the car that hit the man was not hurt.
