Celebration and education for a misunderstood — and mistreated — dog breed

CHICAGO – Chicago’s largest no-kill humane organization held an awareness and adoption event to celebrate a misunderstood -- and often mistreated -- dog breed.

On Saturday PAWS Chicago held the Bully Breed Adoption Event in Wicker Park, a pit bull parade of sorts.

The event aimed to not only adopt out those in need of homes, but also to educate.

And in this Chicago neighborhood, it didn’t take long for the first handsome pup to find a new home.
