Video shows massive brawl at New York casino

NEW YORK — Three people have been arrested and several others injured after multiple videos unsurfaced online of a massive brawl at a casino in Queens, New York.

According to PIX11, the brawl happened Friday. Three people were arrested or ticketed on disorderly conduct charges. Several others were injured, including a police officer.

PIX11 reports the fighting began at the opening of a Fat Tuesday daiquiri bar at the Resorts World Casino in Queens (map).

Videos of the brawl began showing up on various Instagram accounts and other social media.

A police source told the New York Daily News the visuals made the fighting look “way worse than it really was.” The Daily News said the source claimed the fighting took place between about 20 people, while 300-400 “terrified” patrons tried to get out of the way.

That same police source said “a lot of gang members” were involved in the fighting, the Daily News reported.

Brawlers could be seen hurling chairs and swinging other objects as weapons.

A casino spokesman told the New York Daily News the damage done to the venue was “minimal.”
