ROCHESTER, Minn. -- A family in Rochester, Minnesota, got an unnerving lesson in the vulnerability of wireless gadgets.
Hackers targeted their high tech baby monitor, which streams video and audio online.
The hackers used an overseas IP address to put images of the family’s home on a website where webcam videos from around the world are posted.
Computer experts warn that any device that can be accessed remotely can be broken into by others.
They recommend frequent changes of passwords.
The family realized their system had been compromised when they logged in and heard music when there was no music playing in their house.
