CHICAGO -- While the White Sox work to return to the World Series, U.S. Cellular Field will be celebrating the historic era not so long ago. The 2015 season will be filled with tributes to the 2005 team.
You can expect promotional games, fundraisers, fun events with the retro racers and lots of looks back at the amazing season.
This year’s team could be Series ready with the help of a gutted and rehabed 14,000 square foot clubhouse that includes new lockers with technology, plush chairs, big screen TVs and new weight room.
And for fans, the already impressive menu has gotten more so with street tacos, grilled chicken wraps, fried pickles and garlic fries.
Fans will find tributes to one of the teams favorite family members, Minnie Minoso, who passed away in March at age 90. The family of Mr. White Sox is loaning the ballpark personal pieces of memorabilia including trophies, baseball cards and his straw hat.
His number will proudly be displayed opening day.
