Chicago police involved in shootout on South Side

CHICAGO — Chicago police officers came under fire on the South Side overnight.

It happened just after 11 p.m. Wednesday at 71st and Wabash in the Park Manor neighborhood.

Police say only that more than one person fired upon them.

They returned fire, but no one was hit.

No one has been charged yet, but police are questioning several people.
