Man attempts to sexually assault boy at Rainbow Beach in South Shore

CHICAGO — Police are looking for a man who tried to sexually assault a boy in the South Shore neighborhood.

On Tuesday at about five o’clock in the evening, the man took the child close to the water at Rainbow Beach, exposed himself and tried to remove the boy’s clothes.

The boy then punched the man and ran away, police say.

The suspect is described as African American with a dark complexion, goatee and two or three teardrop tattoos on his face near one of his eyes.

If you have information, Chicago police want to hear from you.
