(CHICAGO) -- Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville isn't happy with forward Kris Versteeg's play of late and it showed during Monday's practice at the United Center.

Versteeg did not skate in his usual left wing spot on the first line, instead skating outside the top four lines altogether.

"I guess when you play like s*** you're not going to play," Versteeg said. "I just have to try to work hard and get back in."

Quenneville pointed to the pace of the game when Versteeg is skating as a concern. He did not rule out Versteeg for Tuesday's game against the New York Islanders.
