U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin stopped by the WGN studios Monday to discuss some hot-button issues happening in U.S. politics and around the world.

Durbin first explained what many perceive as a lack of action in Congress, a troubling trend he acknowledged happens too often.

He then discussed the controversy surrounding Hillary Clinton's use of personal emails.

Durbin also discussed the Iran nuclear talks, and he gave his take on the Chicago mayoral race between incumbent Rahm Emanuel and challenger Jesus "Chuy" Garcia. Durbin said he hopes voter turnout for the runoff election is better than what has been seen in the past few elections.

Mia Culpa ,mia culpa, mia grievous culpae. When Dick Durban first ran for political office I dedicated almost a year of my spare time into getting him elected , even gave up all my vacation time. (OK….. I was young and naive )
I will now go to my grave regretting my foolishness. Sorry to the people of Illinois
