Vermette’s Shootout Goal Helps Hawks Beat Oilers

(CHICAGO) — Newly acquired Blackhawks center Antoine Vermette beat Edmonton Oilers goalie Ben Scrivens through the five-hole in the third round of the shootout Friday night to lead Chicago to a 2-1 win.

Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford made 46 saves for his 26th win of the season.

The Blackhawks will host the New York Rangers Sunday night at 6:30.
