Free measles vaccinations offered today in Palatine

PALATINE, Ill. — Health officials are offering free measles vaccinations today in Chicago's northwest suburbs.

The Cook County Department of Public Health announced Monday it will hold clinics Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and March 10 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at All Saints Lutheran Church in Palatine.

Officials say people who do not know their measles vaccination status can get free vaccine.

The health department has said people who were at LaRosita Laundromat on East Dundee Road in Palatine the morning of Feb. 16 and at the Vista Clinic on North Rand Road in Palatine on Feb. 19 may have been exposed.

People who were at Northwest Community Resource Center in Palatine on Feb. 19 also may have been exposed.

There are now 15 confirmed cases of measles in Illinois, 14 of those cases in Cook County.

Thirteen of the 15 cases are tied to the KinderCare Learning Center in Palatine.
