Chicago Bears sign QB Jimmy Clausen to one-year extension

LAKE FOREST, Ill. — The Chicago Bears signed QB Jimmy Clausen to a one-year extension. His contract now runs through the 2015 season.

This will be Clausen’s second season with the Bears after completing 26-of-48 passing attempts for 223 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in four appearances (one start) for Chicago in 2014.

For his NFL career, Clausen is 183-of-347 passing for 1,781 yards, five touchdowns and 10 interceptions over 17 appearances with 11 starts in Carolina (2010-13) and Chicago (2014).

The Notre Dame product has added 66 yards on 26 carries in his NFL career.
