ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. -- Winter isn’t done yet.

Motorists have been stranded for hours after a snowstorm hit parts of the Ohio Valley, Mid-Atlantic and Eastern U.S.

Kentucky’s governor has declared a state of emergency and the National Guard was called-out to assist. Several tractor trailers jackknifed, causing the massive backups and stranding hundreds.

The wife of the Rev Jesse Jackson was among those stuck in the bad weather. Jackie Jackson was traveling with some members of the Rainbow Push Coalition.

Roads reopened Thursday afternoon.
