SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Stars don’t come much bigger these days than Taylor Swift, but that didn’t keep the Grammy winner from making a 4-year-old cancer patient’s day.
On Monday, Swift got wind of the Twitter campaign #ShakeItOffJalene that launched over the weekend for little Jalene Salinas of San Antonio.
She’s suffering from brain cancer and on her bucket list was dancing along with Swift to her hit song “Shake it Off.”
Monday evening the Salinas family got an unexpected phone call from Swift, who spent 20 minutes face timing with Jalene.
Jalene’s mom, Jennifer Arriagas, told a local TV station that even though her daughter was in pain and didn’t talk much during the conversation, her face lit up when she saw the singer’s image on her cell phone.
