Adults only catch the flu about twice a decade, study says

The last time you were in bed with a fever, runny nose and body aches, you may have thought you’d caught a flu bug.  But you may have been wrong.

New research has found that adults older than 30, only catch the flu about twice every decade.

What can feel like the flu often turns out to be common cold viruses like the rhinovirus or coronavirus.

The same study found that children get the flu about every other year.
