Oprah’s Harpo studios closing
CHICAGO — It’s an end of an era on Chicago’s Near West Side. Oprah is shutting the doors on Harpo studios.
Beginning today, no shows on her network will be shot there.
The company is 26 years old and its operations are being transferred to the OWN Network in West Hollywood.
Two hundred employees at Harpo will stay employed through December.
The four-building facility has already been sold for a reported $30.5 million.
