CHICAGO — Chicago White Sox legend Minnie Minoso passed away at the age of 90 Sunday morning.

Minoso left behind quite a legacy in Chicago; he was the first black Cuban player in Major League Baseball and the first black player for the White Sox.

In a statement Sunday, President Barack Obama, a White Sox fan, said Minoso “is and always will be ‘Mr. White Sox.'”
