Frigid start to the last day of meteorological winter with a potential record low.

A subzero start to the day in many areas likely breaking the day’s record low of zero back in 1884.

A sunny morning gives way to a partly sunny afternoon as clouds gather through the day.

Highs peak around 20 degrees, a level 20 degrees below normal. South winds 8-15 mph.

Light snow or flurries develop by midnight and build to a steadier snow overnight.

Lows hold steady just shy of 20.
