Police then chased him on Interstate-294 and onto Interstate-80 and into Indiana.
He eventually stopped in the middle of I-94 near Michigan City in LaPorte County and got of his truck, holding a gun.
Police tried to negotiate with him for more than an hour.
He refused to surrender to officers.
He was then hit with a non-lethal weapon and taken into custody.
No one was injured.
Toliver is in the LaPorte County jail and faces a long list of charges.
