LOS ANGELES — A cat that suffers from a condition that makes it unable to walk is now learning how to get around thanks to a specially designed, four-wheel buggy.

The kitten, known as “Tumbelina,” suffers from cerebellar hypoplasia, which makes it impossible for her to walk, reports KTLA, citing rescue organization Valley Cats Inc.

The organization has compared the cat to Stephen Hawking:  a strong mind with a body that often can’t keep up. They said the cat has the will to walk, despite its inability.

Tumbelina was in danger of being euthanized due to her special need, according to One Green Planet, an organization that creates Web content aimed at planet and animal-compassion issues.

Tumbelina was initially rescued by the Valley Cats organization, which helped design the cat’s new buggy, according to multiple reports. The contraption will allowthe cat to move forward without assistance.
