Man, 62, found dead after house fire on West Side

CHICAGO — A 62-year-old man was found dead after a house caught fire on the West Side.

It happened on the 400 block of LeClaire Avenue in the South Austin neighborhood.

The fire started on the first floor of a two-and-a-half story residential building at about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Firefighters put the fire out within 20 minutes.

The fire also took the home of a family of six people.
