RANDOLPH COUNTY, Ill. -- A letter sent to former Drew Peterson Attorney Joel Brodsky, from a prison inmate, claims that Peterson once told a mutual cellmate that he “dumped Stacy Peterson is in Lake Michigan.”

The letter, one of two sent to Brodsky, also states that Peterson was “set up” by the authorities when he was charged with being involved in a murder for hire plot of Will County State’s attorney James Glasgow last month.

Adrian Gabriel told Brodsky that his cellmate had once mentioned to Peterson he could help him take care of Glasgow. Although, he claims Peterson initially laughed it off, Gabriel says Peterson approached the man soon after about the subject. The cellmate was transferred and an investigation began.

When asked why an admitted conspirator would abruptly change sides, Brodsky told WGN-TV, “He was part of hatching the plot; but as it got further along they dropped him to the side, so he wouldn’t get any benefit out of it”

The letter also stated that there are FBI recordings of the plot.

Peterson will appear in court on March 3, in Randolph County.
