The Wind Chill Advisory (light blue-shaded areas on the map above) for wind chills -20 to -25-degrees remains in effect until 9 a.m. this morning for all of the Chicago area across northeast Illinois.

Cloud cover over northwest Indiana has inhibited radiational heat loss enough to keep most wind chills in that area in the -5 to -15-degree range, so that area was dropped from the Wind Chill Advisory.
