WEST ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- A couple in North Carolina recently made a major score at a Goodwill thrift store.

Sean and Rikki McEvoy of Knoxville, Tenn., found a West Point sweater that was priced at only 58 cents. What they didn’t realize was, it once belonged to Vince Lombardi -- until they saw the sweater in a documentary.

They then saw his name written on their sweater's name-tag.

That sweater was just sold at an auction.

Experts estimated it would sell for $20,000 dollars. But it was sold for $43,000. According to ESPN,  the buyer wished to remain anonymous.

ESPN reported a pair of gloves used by Muhammad Ali and Sonny Liston in 1965 also sold at the auction for $956,000.
