Lincoln Park shop specializes in sweet French delicacy

CHICAGO -- Macarons: The French delicacy has gotten so popular an entire store dedicated to the crunchy sweet goodness has opened in Lincoln Park.

Cindy Summers celebrated the grand opening of Sugar Fixe this past weekend which showcases 15 traditional flavors of macarons and a slew of inspired pastries..

There is a taste to fit just about every pallet. You’ll find the traditional pistachio and hazelnut as well as the more unique like chocolate mint, Nutella, salted caramel, rose lychee and even cupcake.

The also create wedding cakes and pastries and serve Julius Meinl in traditional Viennese service.

Four new flavors will be rotated in each month and possibly down the line, some savory options will be added.
