CHICAGO - Owners of the dogs that were stolen last week in the South Loop showed their appreciation to the salon owner who helped recover the missing pups.

Daisy Bowers called police when she saw a dog sitting in the front seat of the stolen Urban Out Sitters van outside her South Side salon on Thursday morning.

On Wednesday, two men stole the van with seven dogs inside. After Daisy called the police, the dogs were returned to their owners, cold but okay.

On Saturday, a couple who owns two of the dogs stopped by Daisy’s salon with gifts and a cash reward.

Daisy told the couple she was happy that they were able to be reunited with their dogs.

Two men were seen on surveillance taking the van. No arrests have been made.
