BOSTON — In case you hadn’t heard, it’s been very cold in the Northeast and Midwest United States … and pretty much everywhere.

New England has been hit particularly hard this season, with  legendary snowfall accompanying below-zero wind chills.

But that didn’t stop one man, wearing nothing but a Speedo, cap and goggles, from having some fun recently.

A video uploaded to YouTube shows the swimmer perform all the strokes in a snow-covered yard.

According to Swimming World Magazine, the swimmer is former LSU athlete Julius Gloeckner. The magazine reports his fiance, Emily Weil, was the one who uploaded the original video to YouTube.

The city of Boston has gotten more than 50 inches of snow in the month of February alone.

“[A]ny roadblock, misery, or downside bears its own opportunities; you just have to look for them!” the caption of her video reads.

Watch as the swimmer takes advantage of his opportunity.
