MYRTLE BEACH, SC – A South Carolina woman is recovering from an attack during which she says her ex-boyfriend bit off half her nose.
Michele Messer told WMBF she ran into her ex-boyfriend Chris Campbell at a party. Campbell asked to speak with her outside in her car. Once in her vehicle, Messer says everything changed.
“I remember him just beating me everywhere, punching me everywhere, mainly in the face,” Messer told WMBF.
Messer says she then felt him use his teeth.
“I remember feeling his teeth on my face, and then I remember coming to… and I asked him what happened, and he was just like ‘I bit your nose off,'” Messer explained. “I was looking down and I just saw blood pouring from my face, and then I just kind of looked around and saw blood, smeared and everywhere in my van .. all over.”
Campbell then allegedly started to choke Messer. She said she was able to escape out of the vehicle.
A witness called police and Campbell was charged with criminal domestic violence. The charge was later changed to attempted murder.
