LANE COUNTY, Oreg. -- A police brutality complaint in Oregon doesn’t hold up under video scrutiny.
Aleksander Tomaszewski of Clear Lake, California, accused detectives of giving him two black eyes while he was questioned in a sex abuse case.
But he apparently didn’t know he was being recorded in his holding cell at the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.
The surveillance video from January 9 shows him repeatedly punching himself in the face.
Rather than getting himself out of trouble, Tomaszewski ended up pleading guilty to charges of attempted coercion and filing a false police report.
He was released February 10 and hit with three years probation.
